The Journal of the International AIDS Society is pleased to announce the publication of the special issue “Women and ARV-based prevention: opportunities and challenges” which addresses the wide-ranging issues around the use of current ARV-based HIV prevention methods, generally known as microbicides, for the prevention of HIV infection in women.
